1. This team has taken on the personality of it's HC......laid back until someone lights a fire under their ass....
2. I don't like this offense. Half of it seems to be "Shea scramble until you find an open receiver".....Run...What's THAT? This is pure sandlot ball....even more than Hugh's basketball on grass version.
3. SEC running backs will run through us like crap through a goose....Somebody like Fitzgerald will slice and dice them.
4. Big plays and big numbers against junior colleges won't be there the same way against SEC teams....
Oh.....and 1 more thought...... I hate seeing our defense after every tackle get up and show their ass and run around with a "look at me" display.....I find it showboating and tacky.... Have some damn class and act like you've been there before....
We're going to win just enough games to give us Cutball for the next 4-5 years....or should I call it CutGob ball.....or GobCut ball.....Here's a thought....CutLuke ball.....

O line(Luke's unit)looked terrible and entire defense was atrocious. Terrible snap on FG attempt led to missed field goal. It's easier to talk about the positive - Patterson and the WRs looked good. Rest of team looks awful.
The next 7 games look like losses to me. Hope they prove me wrong.

We might beat Cal.....they're not that good...the only reason I'd give them an edge would be because of the home field advantage.....

We might Johnny. I hope so. Problem is that we have struggled greatly against south Alabama and UT Martin. I have to believe that Cal is much better than those teams. This team is fragile. I suspect that it may take only one loss for the wheels to fall off. As poorly as we have played at home I don't see how we travel to the left coast and win.

With the COI meeting coming up, it might not take a game loss for the wheels to fall off. Hoping the team grows some balls and start playing like grown men. Patterson and the WRs have been great - rest of the team, not SEC caliber performances so far.

Maybe we were just taking it easy before Cal. To me it looked like we came out unfocused and never really got zeroed in. Sure, we beat a lesser team we should have beaten, but it was anything but impressive. Coaches say you can't get a team "up" for every game. Maybe this was one of those we didn't get up for by design. 😃

Passing game good but...
I thought McGriff would have turned the defense around somewhat. In the the 1st half of both games, the D looks worse than last year, which I didn't think was possible. They seriously look like they're running in sand. They'll look even worse when we play a better team because the one-dimensional offense will be shut down more often and the D will be on the field the entire game. Lastly, it's just sad when you can't run against a division II team (but they can run all over you).
If OM was holding back or keeping the offense a secret, wouldn't they run it more?

Good grief. That's all I've got to say is good grief.

It could be a long year. We look like some of the early Bobby Bowden teams........score a lot , hope you score more than the other side.

I've seen this before.....Steve Sloan......we'd score 49 and the other team would score 50.....
