Equifax Hacked - You're personal information may have been compromised

Equifax Inc. is one of the three largest consumer credit agencies.  They announced today that they were hacked and this hack could involved about 143 million U.S. consumers.   These hackers were able to access data including names, Social Security numbers, birth dates, addresses, driver’s license numbers, and credit card numbers.  This hack occurred sometime between mid-May and July 2017.

Getting information stolen is not going to stop. What they need to do is make it harder to accomplish anything by having someone's information. Why is it so easy to open a credit card or bank account in someone else's name? If they made it harder, this would not matter as much.
