My first post on the new site ( Thanks Meridian ). This was brought up back in the summer, but I wanted to bring it up again.
Simply put, there is too much construction going on, on campus, at the same time. It's a damn disaster trying to get around ( & I mean walking ). The walk to the stadium from The Circle, is like being in a Maze.
The Stem ( new science building ) doesn't look anymore done today than it did last year.
I don't understand why it's taking so long to complete some of these jobs.

I spent a lot of time watching the gubment issue 'lowest bidder' contracts and quite often it ended badly. The only thing worse was the 'minority' mandated contracts.....even more often going to companies that weren't capitolized and failure was predictable if anyone had bothered to look at their ability to complete a project as a qualification instead of PC qualifications....
Can you imagine going into combat with equipment that was produced by the 'lowest bidder'....and having any confidence it will work? That's what they've done to the military in lots of cases.....

Wow, I've never even thought about lowest bidder that way before. Cheapest is not always best. Makes sense.

There are a group of Muslems bidding as a minority group. They plan to build a mosque on campus with a banana shaped dome.

That's the reason the bell tower outside the NEZ has to be redone. Company that had the lowest bidder totally screwed it up - it wasn't near square. Luckily, the University was able to hire another company to rebuild it.

One of the funniest quotes in a movie is from Armageddon. As they are getting ready to blast off to land on an asteroid, Steve Buscemi says something along the lines of doesn't it feel great knowing we are blasting off with however much horsepower to go into space, make a precise landing on an asteroid to set off a bomb to save the world in a rocket built by the lowest bidder.

I wonder if the state gets the lowest bidder to cook their meals.
