Re: Thad Cochran retiring

I saw where Mitch McConnel is lobbying Gov  Bryant to name himself to replace old Thud.....  Translation RINO perpetuation!

Re: Thad Cochran retiring

No offense, but Thad was way too old to accomplish anything. We need a Rand Paul type guy. One that would stand up for the Constitutional rights that we are supposed to have.

I agree......and I find it interesting that none of our reps are members of the Freedom Caucus....

I think it's interesting how we elect people....send them to D.C. and never hear a peep out of them again...no leadership on important issues that I see. They are placeholders and march to the establishment drumbeat only.

While Rand is a bit too libertarian for my tastes, which makes him a bit naive IMO, I do applaud his moxie.  He's willing to put his chin out there for what he believes in.....our folks always seem to take the RINO/establishment position no matter what and vote as they're told..... IMO they are followers and weak on leadership....

Re: Thad Cochran retiring

What are y'all's thoughts on McDaniel?  I wonder if he'll switch to this race or stay in the race for Wicker's seat.

I saw today where he had issued a statement saying for now he's standing pat and going for the Wicker seat.

Personally I hope he wins.....What I've heard him say I agree with......he certainly won't be a shrinking violet...

McDaniel is one of the biggest douchebags out there. I remember when he was running against Thad, and he had his cronies taking pics of Thad's wife in the nursing home, and then there were his cronies locked up in the courthouse afterhours on primary election night (i.e. - they hid to try to find the ballots - doesn't take a genius to figure that one one). I think I also remember reading where he missed more days in the state senate than any other person in the history of the senate. Then there were his racist comments he made, and he even went out of his way to slam Libertarians, saying they only wanted free hookers and cocaine.

McDaniel is the perfect example of a piece of shit politician.

Yeah...and the RINOs are so virtuous......Maybe they can rile up the democrats again for another primary take down...
