Finebaum's dark horses
It seems as though Paul has more confidence in Mullen than most sports prognosticators. He is picking the Gators behind Ga. In the East and can you believe it State in the West?. While I do see MSU having a good season, I don't see State better than Auburn or A&M.

What's going to be interesting with State is seeing what type of offense Moorhead runs. If he asks Fitzgerald to pass more than run, then State could be in trouble - Fitz has been wildly inaccurate as a passer. But, their defense will be stout, as well as their OL.

Florida could be second in the West because they do not have a lot of competition. The SEC teams that could give them a loss are UT and SC, but UT is in stagnant mode and SC is just unpredictable.
At UT Pruitt is concentrating on strength and conditioning. He will be recruiting bigger linemen on both offense and defense. He feels that the UT OL and DL need to be a primary concerns for success. Hopefully he will make UT more competitive in the East and put an annual beating on the Mullet.
It will be interesting to see how Mullens treats the FSU rivalry. Directionally, FSU in Tallahassee is North of Florida in Gainesville, so could the be another TSUN in the mix?
