People have lost their mind

Look, I'm not taking anything away from the tragedy that happened in Florida, but there is nothing more despicable than someone trying to politicize this mess. Politicians are immediately jumping on this as a way to get rid of the 2nd amendment. Here's what we know:
1. This "kid" had been expelled from school due to his behavior
2. A "Youtuber" reported to the Feds some alarming stuff this "kid" had posted on YouTube
3. Signs were there about him being mentally unstable (all of his social media accounts)

Yet, folks once again want to blame an inanimate object for his actions. The Feds didn't act, nor did his family act on his previous actions that were alarming. Look, I don't think anyone needs a AR-15. I have a friend that has one, and yeah it's fun to shoot them, but they aren't practical for hunting or anything. I'm not sure if abolishing those types of rifles are the answer - but I do think that anyone that gets one should have a special license to own one and should go through a much more rigorous background check in order to own one. But saying that the 2nd amendment should be repealed is about the dumbest crap I've seen.

How about people being held responsible for their actions, putting restrictions on owning automatic rifles, and also make parents who own them responsible (in some manner) for any actions that are taken with one? If you own a weapon like that, it should be locked up in a gun safe/cabinet - and your kids sure as hell shouldn't have access to it.
