Hunter Carpenter, a former Ole Miss Basketball player, put together a presentation that allegedly influenced Vitter and Bjork to not extend Andy Kennedy's contract in 2017. Carpenter was a four-year letterman as a guard on the Ole Miss basketball team. He earned his bachelor’s degree in 1999 from the UM Patterson School or Accountancy, his master’s in accountancy in 2000, and a juris doctor degree from the UM School of Law in 2003. Currently he is the head of the Ole Miss Endowment Fund.
Basically the reports indicates that Kennedy's winning record is inflated by out of conference wins to weaker teams and that Ole Miss is getting a lower ROI compared to other mid-major programs like Creighton, Northern Iowa, Boise State, and Davidson. Ole Miss is overpaying for its results in basketball and AK needs to be removed from his position or expectations for the program need to be lowered.

Carpenter's presentation said "Private and Confidential" at the bottom. It was obviously never intended to be that.

I suppose its hard to argue facts and figures. With all this research, I hope there was the same thought put in for possible replacements. Perhaps the dollars in our new facilities will help to attract a talented replacement.

Now when has Ole Miss ever conducted a really good search for a replacement head coach?
"Ole Miss coaching search" could be considered an oxymoron.

We all heard that the search for our FB coach would be a "national" search but I think what was really said was a "not at all" search and we kept Matt Luke.
I'm sure the bball search will end up with maybe a current player as our coach or maybe hire the HC of a small high school who has a pretty good 3 star recruit so we could ensure we lock down that Mississippi talent.
