Re: DON'T FORGET . . .

Fish, would you mind explaining your game in a little more detail for those of us who are not too familiar with the ins and outs of gaming?  What I am saying is last year on the Colonel's board I tried to play for a week or two but didn't catch on.  All the betting I have ever done is to take OM and 6,which made me a bunch of money in the first Bama win.

Re: DON'T FORGET . . .

SU = Straight Up.  You pick the winner and are not concerned with any point spread.  It is a straight up pick of the winner.  If Ole Miss plays South Alabama and you pick Ole Miss to win and Ole Miss wins, then you win your pick.

ATS = Against the Spread.  You pick against a spread.  If the game is Ole Miss -22 vs. South Alabama, and you pick Ole Miss, the Ole Miss needs to win by 23 or more points for your pick to win.  If Ole Miss wins by 22, then the game is a push and does not count as a win or a loss.  If Ole Miss wins by less than 22, then your pick is a loss.  If South Alabama wins outright, then your pick is a loss.

CP=Confidence Point.  You would pick games against the spread.  Next you would assign confidence points to the games according to how strongly you thought your pick would cover the spread.

If you don't want to mess with point spreads, then just do the straight up game.  It is a straight pick of the winner of a game.  ATS and CP are fun and require some thought to make your picks.
