Mullens will also have to play LSU each year as a rotating opponent.  In the SEC East there is also SC which is a decent team that is capable of beating anyone.  Don't forget about KY and Vandy.  You can never really count them totally out, especially KY which is playing some decent ball.  FL does not want to play Miami because Miami has been beating them in the recent past winning 8 of the last 10 games from 1984 - 2013.  The Gators and Hurricanes are scheduled to play in 2019 to open the football season on Labor Day at Camping World Stadium in Orlando.  Richt should put a beating on Mullens.

Re: Athlon Grades Coaching Hires

I'm in the minority but I think Mullen is a pretty dang good coach.  He will have access to much better talent at Florida and will have the benefit of not playing in the SecW so his only real conference threat is Georgia and that game is always played at a neutral site.  Add in a cupcake or two and he will have a much easier road to a bowl game however the expectations at Florida will be access bowl or better annually.  We've seen what he can do with a big bruiser qb that can run his system.  What he accomplished at state is amazing when you take into consideration what the program had done prior to him.  Sort of like what AK has done with basketball at Ole Miss compared to the history of the program.
