Alabama coach had playbook stolen before title game

Alabama coach had playbook stolen before title game

An Alabama assistant coach's backpack, which contained a Crimson Tide game-day playbook and other belongings, was stolen two days before Alabama played Georgia in the national championship game.

The bag, which belonged to defensive line coach Karl Dunbar, was taken from Alabama's defensive line meeting room inside the team's Atlanta hotel, according to an incident report obtained by AL.com.

In addition to the playbook, Dunbar also had a wallet, $1,320 in cash, two cellphones, a passport, an iPad, sunglasses and reading glasses in the backpack.

Some of the items were later found inside of a hotel bathroom after hotel security was informed of the incident, according to the incident report.

A hotel security camera caught a suspect walking out of the bathroom, but he wasn't seen on any other hotel cameras after leaving the bathroom.

Dunbar, a former undercover police officer, just finished his second season as Alabama's defensive line coach.
The story was first reported by WSB-TV in Atlanta.

Re: Alabama coach had playbook stolen before title game

Now why does this coach need to carry so much cash and why does he have two cell phones?
