Transer WR Van Jefferson has been cleared to play next year. Jefferson is a great pickup for the WR core.
I'm not sure how that's possible for him to play without sitting out a year. WTH?

This is a really quick decision. From what I have heard, the transfer player must make a request to the NCAA then the NCAA makes a recommendation. The recommendation is then sent to Ole Miss for them to agree, disagree, or do nothing. Supposedly this process would not be complete until the end of January. Who knows what is true about this Tweet.
Considering Mullens' contacts with the NCAA, the Ole Miss admission to not telling the truth, the ex-Walmart lawyers involvement, and the animosity the NCAA has for Ole Miss, then it might be true that Jefferson is cleared for next year. If this is true, then expect all Ole Miss transfers to be playing next year.

If true, we could see more transfers.

The NCAA has never moved that quick before. Must be because it can hurt Olé Miss.

We hired ML to keep our program in a perpetual 6-6 middle of the pack team range.....Looks like that wasn't enough to appease them.....

Jefferson transferred to Florida. NCAA has to repay Mullen somehow for his colluding efforts to harm Ole Miss.
I've been hammered for saying all along the NCAA would approve any kid that wanted to transfer to be immediately eligible. The Nutt case that Mars commandeered was the beginning of that. Ole Miss admitted to misleading recruits. That opened the door for any player that wanted to leave to use the excuse that he was misled. NCAA approves for immediate eligibility. This has nothing to do with case precedence. This is all part of their plan when they weren't able to get the dirt or manufacture it to kill our program.
Thankfully we didn't lose any more kids than we did but rest assured our depth has been decimated by this entire process. We won't begin to feel the sting until 19 and 20 but it will be felt. Then will take a couple of years at best to recover. That would be with a proven HC. We signed Luke so that timeline is extended 5-10 years.
