It’s been 9 years today since one of my most memorable moments as an Ole Miss fan —my first bowl Game trip. My brother managed to get 2 free tickets to the Cotton Bowl, where Ole Miss was playing Texas Tech. We hit the road on New Year’s Day and the game was on January 2nd, on a Friday and we met some more family who made the trip desperately. And then all fans that went were treated to a good game with Ole Miss prevailing 47-34 on a beautiful sunny day at the old Cotton Bowl; and it was kind of a good story being there for the last Cotton Bowl played there.

I guess it’s memorable because it was the first time I had a chance to make a road trip for a Bowl...it was definitely a good trip, a good game and great experience. Hard to believe it’s been 9 years. Time flies.
