Michigan & South Carolina Nearly Fight At Outback Bowl Event

On Monday, Michigan and South Carolina started a fight in pre-game bowl activity.  The two teams
were together at Splitsville in Downtown Tampa, where they both competed in a bowling competition.
However, the friendly banter spilled from the lanes and nearly turned into something more, as the
two teams met in the middle of the bowling alley.  Florida law enforcement officials intervined to stop
the potential altercation.

I was hoping to see some fist flying and busting chairs over the another's heads. That would be more fun than the game.

Most likely he and his family are at the Bowl game.  When the DB from Olive Branch (Jeremy something) was at Michigan, he often came to Ole Miss games and hung out with the players.  I had family playing then, so everyone formed a bond.  I remember talking to him on a few occasions and indicated that sure is a long way to travel to watch your son play.  He indicated that he went to all the game because "they" took care of it.  The groups' translation of that statement was that the school provide financial assistance to the parents to get to Ann Arbor to attend games.

Oh Catfish, you know that mighty Michigan wouldn't do anything illegal like pay for parents or recruit a kid already signed at another school!!

There is a hidden and coded section somewhere in the book of NCAA codes that states teams like Michigan, Ohio State, Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Georgia, FSU, and Florida are exempted by from certain issues, even decisions by the COI.  As a result, these schools can operate without any outside interference.

I recall that Jeremy was never more than average player on average Michigan teams. Our coaches could not flip him and he tuned out not to be a great loss. Looks like he had his hand out all along.

I believe his last name was Laseur, or something close to that.

Average?
He was a 4 Letter Winner at Michigan on teams that won 2 Big Ten Championships and finished second the other two seasons.  9-3, 8-4, 10-3, 10-3.  Citrus, Citrus, Outback and Rose Bowls.
Jeremy was from Holly Springs.  I don't recall his recruitment outside of us not being able to flip him which was the hallmark of Cut's recruiting ability.  Seems like Michigan paraded the newest Heisman trophy winner at that time, Charles Woodson, to him and said he would be the next one.  Jeremy did go on to play several seasons in the NFL.
