So Tom says he doesn't frequent twitter but this statement seems to offer a different perspective: "Just my opinion, but Ross missed a great opportunity here. He would have killed it if he had put the wrestling belt photo up on Twitter next to his statement. That might have compromised the serious tone he was trying to set, but it would have been hilarious enough to generate massive retweets. Maybe next time."

Thanks for posting that. Just finished reading through all of that - it is obvious why Lee resigned, as he seriously dropped the ball. Speaking of Ball, it seems that he also got called out for not following NCAA rules regarding the players transferring.
Having said that, someone had to campaign for the parents to reach out to Mars for his services. While he may try to deflect any "conspiracy theory" out there, it doesn't take a genius to see that (Mars) is capitalizing on the dumpster fire within the Ole Miss administration. I also find it interesting that Mars even mentioned the GOB network (although he didn't use that term) in the interview.

Ole Miss missed the opportunity to take the Mutt suit to court and win. Often people say they lawsuits are settled in order to not incur additional expenses and simply make a settlement to end the legal battle. Considering the fact that Ole Miss wasted thousands of dollars on a coaching search, they surely could have spent money defending themselves against Mutt and Mars. Instead Ole Miss gave in and provide Mars with ammunition that he is now able to use for future lawsuits against Ole Miss. Tyner and the legal staff were probably too lazy to pursue the case, so they simply took the easy way out. To replace Tyner, Ole Miss needs a tough lawyer who is mean, not complacent, and will stand up to anyone opposing them.

Reads more like a press release than an interview.
