Hope that kid has to sit out a full year under transfer rules. He'll learn eventually he can't be daddy's little boy all of his life.

Mark it down.....the NCAA will clear him 'in hot' to play next season......if for no other reason than to piss off OM....Just another punch that we won't even try and dodge or deflect.

One thing about it, his dad can't be anywhere near as bad as Lavar Ball!

I've said it before and I will say it again here. Any transfers will be allowed under appeal to play this next season somewhere else. We screwed the pooch with the apology to Mars/Nutt. That was the open door to transfers and you can bet Mars will be lined up waiting to challenge anyone that Ole Miss tries to block.
I say let them go on their merry way. It can serve as yet another lesson in how not to handle bullies. We have already lost the war. No reason to further engage. Time to circle our wagons, drain the swamp and rebuild with effective leadership top down.

He was 4-6 at Ole Miss and not over any decent teams. I'm not losing any sleep.

Certainly his injury changed everything, but I can't help wondering if he had not gotten hurt where he would be right now? Shea's Dad may be like a certain business man was here about his son playing high school at a different school every year. The kid was good, but none of the major schools would take a chance on him because of his Father's constant meddling. Michigan may love Mr. Patterson, but Oxford does not. They cannot blame it on draft status because we have had several guys go high when the team pretty much sucked.

Guys this is all about going to a good team with good coaching. Neither of which he had at Ole Miss and our situation is deteriorating like a rotting corpse in the ms delta sun.
At Michigan he will play behind a great o line, have a hc with nfl coaching and playing experience, a good group of wr and several elite tight ends. A stable of sound running backs and one of the best defenses in the country. Now tell me why you wouldn’t leave for that?
Loyalty is laughable. His hc and qb coach are no longer here.
He’s got a career to think about post college.
Ask yourself how loyal you’d be to your company if they fired your boss and his boss and replaced them with total knuckleheads that weren’t qualified and then you got an offer to go elsewhere. You’d do the same thing. Break ups are never easy. I’ve never understood the hatred or disrespect to the kid/player that leaves. It’s pathetic and makes us look small.
We aren’t fooling anyone but ourselves. Secret is out about Ole Miss. We were a fraud to recruits and we have confirmed that in how we defended ourselves or lack therof along with our hiring decisions.

I'll agree on the coaching.... I noticed Longo at the beginning of the year make a comment about how they had 'coached/talked' Shea into being less prone to pull the ball down and run.... I thought then..."Why would you try to coach a kid to not do what he does best?" So I began watching and noticed that he did, indeed, not run as much...other than to escape when his OL collapsed..... I thought ya know, this kid is still playing with the same skill set he had in high school...he doesn't have a QB coach......so when they told him not to run he is pretty much average..... I don't know for sure, but I think even I could coach him not to throw a 95 MPH fastball at a receiver standing 10 feet away.......
All of that said it boils down to the same root cause we've seen out of our OL for the past 5-6 years....weak or non-existent fundamentals technique..... What we have is not fine tuned with technique and they remain rough as a cob.....so when you can't overpower the other guy (insert SEC players) you have to rely on sound fundamentals and technique.....The other guy has it and if you don't you lose.....see 6-6.....
