Wonder if Hunter Carpenter has updated his PowerPoint presentation? 
If we had half as many supporting our basketball program as we do wading it down we might get somewhere but hell no.  Let’s cut the legs out from under our most successful coach in the history of the program by not extending his contract and costing us the one top recruit we had incoming so we can say AK sucks.  Whatever it takes to get AK gone because he doesn’t curry to the GOB’s.  It’s laughable that our fans even follow basketball much less expect good results.  Like anything in life you get what you pay for. 
Before any of you wise asses try to correlate the Luke situation here let me first point out he’s had 14 years in the system and has never produced anything remotely close to what AK has done.  Add to that Luke has been able to sell the history of support and success of our program to recruits and still couldn’t do shit with it while AK has played all but the last season and a half in the worst facility in College Basketball with zero support.  Don’t forget it took strong arming football donor money or we still wouldn’t have the Pavillion completed.  As a matter fact hiring Hunter Carpenter would be akin to promoting Luke to HC.

Don't worry guys I will remind you of how "good" we had it with AK when we trot out another Rod Barnes and proceed to go back to winning 8-9 games a season in a still fairly new and now empty arena.  
In order to be successful in basketball you have to win games.  AK's record speaks for itself.  Folks want to point out how many times he has been to NIT and not NCAA.  No issue there but to put it in context you have to also look at how many times in the history of our program have we played in the postseason?  How many seasons did we finish with a winning record?  How many 20 win seasons?  It's all in the body of work.  AK will be the first to tell you he hasn't done enough to remain as HC.  I will be the first to tell you if we are able to hire a better HC he will be on the first bus out when he finds out what our program and our fans are really about.  The expectation is that you go to NCAA every couple of years, never lose to state, never lose an OOC game, never lose a home game.  What did I miss?   Meanwhile our fanbase contributes 0 to the program and the fact remains that the admin has to strong arm football donors into buying more seats to retain their football priority.  That's real support right there.  Lol.
The confounding part to me is how the same fans who don't support the program otherwise demand anything better?  Shit should be happy with what we have for what we are investing but it will take another underperforming coaching change to once again realize maybe AK wasn't the devil he has been made out to be.
