Here's what I really don't get concerning LOIC

If the University was found to have LOIC, how in the world could the HC escape a show cause if that were the case? In order for the LOIC charge to stick, wouldn't the HC have to be directly involved with specific knowledge regarding the violations? And if that were the case, the HC would have to get a show cause put on him. I really think Ole Miss should be able to beat the LOIC and the additional bowl ban handed down.

I thought there was a show cause on Freeze. Did I misread?

Show me someone who doesn't care if they win or lose and I will show you a loser.

As a HC, he would be suspended for 2 conference games if he were to be a HC this upcoming year. But that is ONLY if he got a HC job (unless I'm mistaken).

That's correct Meridian and if he isn't hired by this time next year the suspension is lifted even if not "served" as a coach.  Basically it's a one year suspension that includes 2 conference games if he is coaching.

That low-life Freeze threw OM under the bus in his testimony and received a pass because he helped to bury OM which was the ONLY concern of this entire "witch hunt." If Freeze would have been able to stay at OM (not have his extra escapades revealed), he would have got hammered by the NCAA. That so-called impartial committee would have nailed him, set the nail and filled it in and sanded over his butt sealed and varnished the complete work and dared him to coach an OM team for 2 months of the schedule. But since freeze is no longer associated with OM and gave incriminating evidence at the meeting, he is spared and given a "thank you" with a "slap" on the wrist.. Freeze is lower than a state alumnus.

I'll say it again, but I'm not mad at Freeze.  I'm mad at our admin.  Freeze didn't get us in trouble, our admin did.  They basically did the same thing they did with Tubberville.  Instead of committing to winning at football, they did the opposite.  The way we handled the entire investigation was terrible.  That's not on Freeze.  In fact, Freeze kept recruiting and winning despite the investigation.  Yes, he messed up with the escort but his mess up isn't why we are basically having the death penalty.  Freeze deserves to pay his dues as an OC and then move on to be HC of a big boy program.

It sucks to type that but it's the honest truth.  If our admin had played our cards right with the investigation, we could have had Freeze for another 20 years and be competing for SEC championships.

I agree with olemissjcj. Freeze messed up with a lady of the night but that is between him, his wife, and God. All he did for Ole Miss was good. This crap is the most blown out of proportion violations that I have ever seen. It warrants nothing more than a slap on the wrist at worst.

Re: Here's what I really don't get concerning LOIC

The GOB's hosed Freeze.  They saw an opportunity to place their guy in the HC position and outed Freeze.  All under the guise of the NCAA wanting Freeze and a "backdoor" deal in the works with the NCAA now that Freeze was gone.  However turns out the NCAA wants the GOB's and successfully put them back in their place and it hasn't ended yet.  That, in my opinion, is why they referenced the culture term as well as the previous violations dating back 30 years.
Meanwhile Freeze is a proven winner and will be picked up by someone soon and he will be a HC in the SEC again soon.  Like as early as 2019. As long as he wins are we really naive enough to think that his admin cares what he does in his spare time?  I'm not condoning his actions either.  Just stating a simple fact of SEC football being big business and winning at all costs is the ultimate goal.
