Ta'amu may get an additional year
Buddy texted me saying Ole Miss is trying to get Ta'amu another year. Not sure of the details on how that would work. But I don't know for the NCAA to do us any favors.

I did read that. Aparrently his freshman season he only played few snaps or something. I don’t think it will fly and I think it speaks more to the reality of him being the only QB we are going to have on the team in a few weeks or less along with the reality that we are going to have a helluva time recruiting one into the shitshow that was our own doing. Folks talk about the NCAA killing us. I say we beat them to the punch and self imposed our own death penalty. Que up the excuses because they will begin arriving in short order as to why we shouldn’t be wasting our time recruiting quality athletes and should be focused on kids with Ole Miss ties. In other words back to recruiting the private school kids who aren’t going anywhere else.

Can we bring in another QB from Last Chance U? That's worked out pretty good for us!

That would be GREAT.. also, if OM can get a lot of these Sr's to be to stay, I think the bump many not be that teeth jarring

That would be great but I wouldn't bet on it happening for us. For Bama or someone else, I would believe it.
So is Shae going to Michigan? Can't blame him if he does. Watching him play this year, I almost felt sorry for him. Looked like whatever coaching he had received was screwing with his head more than preparing him for NFL

Ta’amu played two years in the JUCO ranks before coming to Ole Miss, and next season will be his last of NCAA eligibility. In his first season at New Mexico Military, he played in just one game and injured his knee. It’s that season that Ole Miss is trying to get back for him under the banner of a medical redshirt, and if they do, he’ll have two more years left to helm the Rebel offense. That would be very good.

If that is the case, he will most likely get the medical redshirt. It may take a few months but he meets the criteria.
