Interesting - the NCAA believed the Rebel Rags stuff

That opens up the NCAA to a lawsuit if the Civil trial continues through and finds that Lewis and Jones lied.

It will be interesting to see if the suit continues, and if does how it ends.

Rebel Rags is being disassociated. The University could prohibit Rebel Rags from selling licensed Ole Miss merchandise. I think the suit goes forward, and the testimony of Lewis at the COI only bolsters the case that Merkel has put together.

this either ends in bombshells or it ends in butt hurt.

the extra year bowl ban is the only issue I have.  everything else is inline with expectations.  if the ncaa could fell my hate for them right now, it would be the equivalent of 1000 nuclear blasts

Well, he needs to get on with it.  I want Loeb Lying Lewis' nuts in a vice.  Dan Mullen, also.

If they are disassociated, won't that be the end of their business?

Not necessarily. May just have to get creative. If I were them I’d just form a new entity “rebel rag” (drop the S) and form a new association with the university.

Re: Interesting - the NCAA believed the Rebel Rags stuff

Disassociation from Ole Miss to a business that primarily sells Ole Miss swags can be detrimental to their business.  Since they are disassociated, then Ole Miss can deny them licensing to Ole Miss logos and trademarks.  Now as mentioned by BlueChipReb, they could form another entity to sell Ole Miss swags, but they might want to have another CEO since Terry's name might be on the bad booster list at Ole Miss.

Rebel Rags definitely needs to move forward quickly with their lawsuit.  The potential defamation is causing much damage in the form of lost revenues and loss of potential future sales.  It will be interesting to see what happens with this lawsuit.

Not that it matters, because I don't see it helping OM since the damage is already done, but how can RR move it along any faster.....?  Once it's in the court system doesn't the timeline go according to the court system's clock?

They really cannot move it along any faster.  The suit is at the mercy of the courts, and as you probably, the legal systems moves really SSSSSSSSSSSSSLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW.
