Only possible explanation - death penalty is coming?
Is that the only explanation for what has been done? That we are staring at the death penalty or sanctions that equal it?

The so-called death penalty is only for repeat offenders. I don't think anyone knows what the sanctions are. The NCAA, from what I understand, Will give the school 24 hours notice before sanctions are released. I doubt Ole Miss received such notice the Friday after Thanksgiving. And even if they did, they wouldn't have been told what the sanctions are - only that they're coming.

The GOB one upped an potential NCAA sanction by deep sixing the program from within. The group that values access more than success wins again.
