Did Shea and Brown really threaten to leave if Luke wasn't retained?

From the article:

After Ole Miss’ upset of Mississippi State, Patterson and Brown, per sources, were among the players who approached Bjork and said they’d transfer out if Luke wasn’t the head coach.

Anyone know if this is actually true?

Most likely this is just another falsehood created by the GOB and Luke supporters.  Mutt has proved that Ole Miss media creates false statements, so this could just be another false report created by the Ole Miss media.

If that is why Bjork hired Luke then he should be fired and tell those players who don't want to play for Ole Miss to leave with Bjork.  But it is too late for that the nail has already been driven in the coffin.

Re: Did Shea and Brown really threaten to leave if Luke wasn't retained?

Yes this is true and Luke asked them and several other players to threaten to leave if he wasn't given the job. Basically what I'm gathering is that once the altercation at Auburn unraveled in the tunnel with Luke and Bjork Matt went into full blown GOB protection mode and leveraged every single aspect he could to secure the job and it apparently worked and is the reason RB is on his way out.  He opposed the GOB's so they are moving to have him replaced with ether Walker Jones or John whistledick that was he before as assoc ad under boone.  Both GOB soldiers so they beat goes on.

What happened in the tunnel between Luke and Bjork?

Re: Did Shea and Brown really threaten to leave if Luke wasn't retained?

the job was posted on the website if you recall around midnight the evening before the 11am game at Auburn.  Luke's wife comes out on the field pregame and shows it to matt.  He questions Bjork about it in the tunnel before coming back out and was obviously pissed off about it since it was making rounds on social media, etc.   It was heated and Bjork told him to cool it since he wouldn't be considered for the job anyways so it shouldn't matter to him when or how it was posted.

First time I heard that story. If true, then the GOB's surely protected him.

Luke is a whiner.  If he does not get his way, then he goes to extreme measures, like this to get what he wants.

Well...that goes hand in glove with all the excuses he's had over the years for his OL.....whine about injuries....whine, whine, whine.....

When he doesn't win we'll see more excuses.....so just get ready....

I'm not sure it's going to bother me as much as it has in the past..... I've got to detach, emotionally, because I can't continue to get all wound up only to watch incompetence that will never deliver a winner......  So, while I'll keep an eye on things, I won't invest my emotions like I have for the past 50+ years....  My problem with that is I'm an all in or all out kind of guy.....I've never learned to be a tweener.....or fence sitter.
