Chad Morris
Seems to be an uproar brewing today over Chad Morris - has someone reported he's about to be hired, or moved up to #1 on the list or something?

One of the Spirit mods posted that Ole Miss apparently has more than a passing interest in Morris. That set off a lot of posters, both for and against Morris. In reality, Bjork is keeping his cards very close to his vest, and I doubt if anybody really knows who the true leading horses are at this point.

would be a homerun hire for OM.. Been around him a ton the past 2 years. Has his stuff together and will win big.

What about his record at SMU? It hasn't been great. Seems like he has had enough time to have made enough improvements within the program to lead to more wins.
Edited to say: just looked up his record at SMU.
2015: 2-10
2016: 5-7
2017: 7-5
That's not wowing like Frost's record at UCF but that looks like consistent growth. Especially when SMU was 1-11 the year before he got there.
He wouldn't be the wow hire but he wouldn't be terrible either. I think the connection with the Tuoy's had a lot of people worried bc we don't want a hire just bc there is an "in" already with Ole Miss.

He took over a program that had 36 scholarship players, only 2 were D1 worthy. June Jones ran the place under the ground and then quit mid season.. really dont know how he won 2 games that first year. Jones had poisoned the SMU name with Texas HS coaches as jones recruited outside the state( idiot). As you see with the record, he has built that from bring by brick.
As for Frost, I like him as well. he just didnt take over the mess that Morris did. Oleary had quit on his team and they quit on him. There was still talent there. The 3 years before they went 0-11, they were 10-4, 12-1 and 9-4
frost would be a great hire. I just think Morris is the better choice.

Morris would do a very good job. I also think Bill Clark would do really well.
