Well...if he's good as some think then he won't put up with it for long and will bolt to another school...Competent people don't tolerate idiot bosses for long...

I like Bjork. He’s dedicated to making OM a top program, willing to pay to attract top coaches, building new facilities, and overall brings energy to all sports programs.
You can blame him all you want for the the NCAA but we all know if the NCAA wants to take down OM they will— cooperation or no cooperation. The NCAA is not a court of law— they don’t answer to anyone. The NCAA lets Baylor and UNC get off for rape and academic fraud, respectively, but spends 5 years at OM for an alleged payment from a rival school’s player. There’s no logic to the NCAA’s behavior.

My feelings toward RB aren't personal. They are professional and based solely on the job he is hired to do for us at Ole Miss.
I've been in all levels of management from lower level to the Chief as well and one thing you learn early on is how to work within the confines of your station.
RB has done this as well as anyone in my recollection especially considering the shitstorm he has endured since he signed on. I trust that he will get this right and he has Ole Miss's best intentions at the forefront of his actions.
Again I challenge anyone to show me how he has deviated from that?
If you don't like the guy that's cool and your choice but to blindly lay blame at his feet is total horseshit.
I can totally appreciate the lack of trust with any of the admin given your tenure. Hell it's been terrible during mine that is much shorter. That said RB isn't one of the GOB's and if anything this coaching search has been proof positive that he calls the shots.

Vitter needs to be gone and Ole Miss needs to selects its own Chancellor. The Chancellor needs to be pro athletics and balance it with education. Whatever the situation, Vitter needs to be gone.

I could not, if I had a 1,000 years, agree more. Vitter's ass needs to be mailed somewhere else.

When you're in charge blame is, by definition, at your feet when what you're in charge of goes to crap..... Just ask anyone who's served in the military...it's the Commander who shoulders the blame as it is ultimately his responsibility....same goes in any well run organization....
The man love for this politician playing manager/leader we have is amazing.....

First this isn't the military. It isn't even corporate America. It's college football which by definition is an amateur sport with tons of rules and regulations. Laughable as that may be to most of us for sure.
Blind hatred with zero substance is even worse. I have plenty of reasons to respect the hell out of RB for the job he's done dealing with one of the GOB's own having a season long job interview with lots of raw emotions being fed to him.
Here's a newsflash that shouldn't be: All Coaches and Admins are politicians. It's part of the job requirement when dealing with boosters, donors, fans, media, players, player parents, etc. Obviously some coaches are more adept at hiding it and seeming more real than others.

I don't hate the man I just look at what he's presided over.....one of the worst crapshows in our history....and he gets a pass.....and people wonder why we continue to wallow at the bottom of the conference. We refuse to hold people accountable for results. That kind of performance will not get my respect....ever. I'm betting he'll either hire ML or a PC type..... If he hits a home run with the hire I'll be happy to eat crow and give him credit.

What the hell should he have done differently?
I need specifics if you are going to crucify the guy on what he did or did not do that was so bad.

How many programs under NCAA scrutiny during his tenure? I think the NCAA defines that as a lack of institutional control.... and he was 'in control' of the programs.....
