I have said ever since the resignation fiasco that we need to give Matt a  fair chance to prove what he can do as head coach.  Some of you guys have been on his butt from day 1 and he hasn't even coached a down in a game situation yet.  He is our coach; with the attitude some of y'all are expressing he is doomed right now.  Please show your Rebel pride until Thanksgiving.  After that game if we are 5&7 or less let's go get Jay Hobson from Southern Miss.  He has proven himself in 2 difficult situations and is an Ole Miss alum who would be tickled with a $2,500,000. Salary.

Don't take me wrong I absolute support Luke this year we will score a lot of points if we can play any D we could win 8 games if not 4 or 5.

Pomouth all of us are supporting Matt Luke since he is the interim "fill in" coach our Ole Miss Rebels.  That said he backdoored his way into it just like he has every coaching job he has had in 14 years now.  He absolutely sucks as a position coach.  No debating that.  He may make the best CEO ever but to date his coaching history suggests he's going to be a bust.  
Regardless he should not even be considered for the HC job at Ole Miss.  We have the money, facilities, program, etc to attract a big time current HC.  That much we know.  
Hopson is another that should not be considered.  You guys think too much inside the box.  Believe it or not we don't have to hire a retread or a former staff member at Ole Miss to be successful.  Ole Miss is above and beyond the box.  Well past time we think that way.  
Matt has inherited a mess for sure and nothing would suit us better than for him to return to a position coach when the next HC is hired much like what Ohio State did when they hired Urban Meyer and the interim coach remained as the DC. That has obviously worked out well for them so don't say it can't be done.
