Let's hire a proven one
I have stayed with Matt as long as anyone can. A lot of you guys didn't want him from the git go and this was probably the correct assumption. However, he came in under the worst possible situation and it seemed only right to give him the benefit of the doubt. While he loves Ole Miss more than most anyone and I wish him good luck in some other endeavor, he is not head coaching material for a power 5 program. He might do well in Conference USA or the championship division, but not the big time. We should have beaten California, should have beaten Arkansas, and should have made some half-time adjustments like A&M did and made that game much closer. With all that said I don't envy Ross at all. We have screwed this up so many times; I hate to speculate on who to hire. However, we need a proven winner, regardless of the cost, which will probably be $5Mil or better. I like the guy at Memphis, but he is playing with a full deck from his predecessor. Where do we go?

I like Norvell too but with him being from Arkansas, I'm lookin for him to get that job , that is if Malzaln don't get it.

i am starting to accept the idea of a Matt Luke Head coach. Not out of anything other than reality. the ncaa has screwed us. they will continue to screw us and it will be a tough row to hoe at this point. I believe the ole miss job is a good job at this point. We have proven we can play at high levels. If our D was worth a crap, we would be sitting at 9-2 right now. The scary thing is, a DC is not going to fix the defensive problems we have right now. Only Linebackers can fix this issue. If we had 3 SEC LBs, we would be golden. Not taking aything away from Gates, he plays hard. But we need 235lb or better LBs who can move. our 215lb lbs are slow and out of position all day long. So what do you do, take the shitty Defense out on McGriff and fire him? Just not sure. But that is what a HC is going to have to do. Can
Matt pull it together? can we hire a coach that will do any better? I don't know. pray hard guys, that is where we are. There is nothing we can do at this point so pray

Matt wasn't able to coordinate a good offensive line in 5+ years. Why would anyone think he could pull it off as HC? What, just because he loves Olé Miss? Give me a break. How does Memphis State keep coming up with these homerun hires and we can't? A big hint, go outside te GOB network.

Buying a coach is only half of our problem. We also need an admin to hold their feet to the fire to make sure they don't get Bianco, I mean lazy. Either that or hire someone with Sabans superhuman drive to be the best
