Re: Tubberville's Hotty Toddy

Oh the irony.....Both Wingnut and Mazzone back on campus the same night.....and we allowed a coach that betrayed his players to lead us in a cheer....WAOM....

It has amazed me how bent out of shape Ole Miss fans have gotten over this. Talk about making a mountain out of a mole hill, but leave it to Ole Miss fans to find something  trivial  to whine about.

Would you be okay with Nutt leading the cheer? Keep in mind that Tubberville just didn't leave, but how he left. He didn't even address the team after the game, and he and Mazzone trashed the offices and took all of the recruiting information with them. It was straight up a weasel move, and people shouldn't forget what he did.

There's nothing "trivial" about being mad at being shit on.... We should have raised hell that he was even doing the broadcast.....

It was straight up a weasel move, and people shouldn't forget what he did.

In addition to these shenanigans by both Tuberville and Mazzone, Mazzone tried to recruit some of the Ole Miss players to Auburn, including Romero Miller.  They also told Rufus French he should leave after his Junior year as a ploy to rid Ole Miss of any star players.  Both coaches knew French was not ready for the NFL.

On a return to Ole Miss on Orgeron's staff, Mazzone also tried to undermine Orgeron in an effort to have Orgeron fired so that he could step into the HC position at Ole Miss.  There was lots of friction between Orgeron and Mazzone.  Orgeron was keenly aware of the Mazzone plot, so he fired Mazzone.  While at Auburn, Mazzone was also fired by Tuberville in 2001 and replaced him with Bobby Petrino.

As mentioned above, how would fans feel if Mutt gave the Hotty Toddy?  Tubby, Mazzone, and Mutt are no friends of Ole Miss.  Why would Ole Miss need these diabolical washed up coaches anyway?

You really can't be serious with that remark, can you?

I shake my head in wondering WHY we are like we are today....but deep down I KNOW it's because of thinking like this that we are in the state of the position we are in now because of it. Many fans just HOPE that fortune is going to somehow shine down upon us if we are just nice and patient.

It just doesn't work that way...btw, I'm not whining...I'm just stating fact.

You just go ahead and take the last word on this -- I'm done. I feel the way I feel and there is nothing - and I mean nothing - that's going to change my mind. I'm just glad I've seen I'm by no means the only one who feels like I do.

Re: Tubberville's Hotty Toddy

You seem to be bent out of shape because of the responses to your post...

We don't owe Tuberville a damn thing and all the sugar coating he did last night was putrid. He can go back to Taylor's and have some "catfish on a stick", on his way to hell.

Re: Tubberville's Hotty Toddy

I was there, it was really weird. I ever never heard Ole Miss fans Hotty Totty and boo at the same time.
The guy who planned it meant it to troll Tubs, but it didn't fly. I think they generally do a good job with the Jumbotron, but they laid an egg on that one.
