You can almost be assured that both Florida and Tennessee have been in contact with agents of potential candidates and are putting together hiring deals. With the bumbling methods used by Ole Miss to hire a HC, you have to wonder if Ole Miss has even made some contacts, and if so, how serious did they seem to the potential hire. If Ole Miss does not get off their ass and quit using the NCAA excuse and any other excuse available, the Administration will find themselves picking from the leftovers or hiring from within by retaining Luke.

What reason is there to jump to such conclusions?

I think it's safe to say Ole Miss has gauged the interest from their top prospects way earlier this season.

Well, if you want to get some insight and you happen to have a subscription to the Spirit watch closely what Chuck is saying. I subscribed for decades before I couldn't swallow the koolaid any more but I learned one thing from all those years. Chuck doesn't go out on limbs unless he knows something. If he starts pushing Luke you can bet your bottom dollar that is a very real possibility.....and I hear, through the grapevine, that he's doing just that.......
So you can take it for what it's worth...but he is often the tip of the spear when it comes to shaping opinion...... Or said another way the administration brings him in on things and gets his gauge on things based on what he's hearing from customers....and he will carry the mail, figuratively speaking, at times for them.....
