Re: Malzahn

I see pluses and minuses just as with any candidate. He does have a good offense with a good running game and has a good staff around him. Defense is usually good. Minuses have been pointed out. But, as mentioned above, he is probably headed to Arkansas.

Re: Malzahn

I don't know if Malzahn and Arkansas would mesh -- still a lot of bad blood there.

Re: Malzahn

Nothing salves old wounds like a million dollar raise and a chance to move home.

Re: Malzahn

Yea but I meant bad blood on both sides -- the impression I've gotten is that Arkansas may not be too interested in calling Malzahn home.....also not sure Arkansas would want another SEC West program's cast offs.

But, I'm not going to say it won't happen --- never say never.

Re: Malzahn

Have to remember all of that bad blood occurred under nutt. If I had to guess nutt threw malzahn under the bus when it appeared malzahn was more liked than nutt was. Add in that the most popular qb in their history was on campus as was his hs hc which was mustain and malzahn.
I’m confident we weren’t the only ones that got hosed by nutt. Dude isn’t even welcomed in his home state. That says a lot.

Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding!!!

Mutt was the culprit and divider of the both the team and fan base during the Mustain/Malzahn/and the Springdale 5.  Mutt basically hired Malzahn to ensure he would get Mustain and the Springdale 5.  Mutt made promised to run Malzahn's offense and highlight the skills of Mustain and crew, but did not fulfill that promise.  This put Mutt and Malzahn at odds and created enough friction that the Sprindale 5s' parents called a private meeting with Frank Broyles.  Things spiraled out of control and everyone bailed on Mutt.  Yes, Mutt is his own worst enemy and very few would welcome his back on the Arkansas campus at Fayetteville.

Here is an article about some of the controversy:

Re: Malzahn

I bet Arkansas would welcome Malzhan.  If for nothing else, bc he runs a fast paced offense
