I think even with a win tonight, Florida State gets left on the outside looking in

This year, the SEC might be on the outside looking in for the playoffs. The sports media wants a playoff without an SEC team, and this could be the year they get it. You can be assured that if the top non-SEC teams played an SEC-caliber schedule, they would have one to two losses.
As for Michigan, they should be dropped due to their involvement with stealing signals. The Alabama win over Georgia was a decisive win, but Texas beat Alabama head-to-head in Tuscaloosa. Washington has a good team but played a mostly weak schedule.

Your list is what it should be but I don’t see how Florida State gets left out with a perfect season. I watched the first half of their game last night and they aren’t even a top 10 team without their QB. Will be very interesting to see how it shakes out.

To me, Texas is the great pretender. They beat Bama early in the season, lost to Oklahoma, and struggled to beat some pretty mediocre teams. I would have put FSU or UGA in before Texas. I hope Washington lays a beating on Texas and I think they will.
