State has fired Arnett
That's 2 SEC schools that have fired their HC before the season has even ended with heavy rumors that this is Pittman's last year at Arkansas.
Edited: Apparently, Pittman has not been given his walking papers yet.

Didn’t even give him a full year —- fired Moorehead after 2 years (winning records both years) —- crazy..

Based on State's history of firing coaches, I can't imagine anyone taking that job unless they get a "Jimbo Fisher contract" - pay the contract on termination with no conditions, no offsets, no nothing,. State doesn't have the kind of money to keep screwing this up, they better be careful. They are at the plate for strike 3.

I really do think State is about to fall onto really hard times. Their NIL collective is an absolute mess and isn't bringing in much money at all. Firing Arnett after less than a full season isn't gonna suit right with a lot of coaches. If you look at tickets for the Egg Bowl, they are going for $28/ticket. It's a program in a complete tailspin, and I love seeing that happen to them.
