Life just gets busy sometimes and I've been other places online mostly. How's everyone doing?

Pretty good here — as I said in another thread, contemplating relocating in the next 2-3 years….tired of this Memphis/North MS area
Other than that, ready for football season to get started — not sure what to think of Ole Miss this year — on paper, could be pretty good but not an easy schedule…I did see we get a more favorable schedule next year

Same. Had some surgeries earlier this summer that kind of had me distracted. Then lost the link to this board. Finally dug thru a billion old emails I should have cleaned out and found a link. Glad I waa lazy. lol

I hear you. I'm not sure if you are in DeSoto county or not but it seems like they are trying to turn the whole county into concrete. At some point, they just need to say, that's enough development. Memphis is such a dump. I do feel nervous about being so close but at the same time, we were very free during covid. Probably the most free county in the nation to just go about our business and ignore the craziness. I don't know where else I would move to be as free. That's a top priority for me.

Hope you are doing better now. I try to stay away from doctors. They seem to always get me in more of a mess than I start out with. My mom had open heart surgery in July and is recovering well. Hopefully no more surgeries!

Yup - I’m in Olive Branch.
And I agree- Memphis is pretty much a lost cause. Everything good I remember about Memphis when I was a kid and even a young adult are long gone….it’s sad.

Work has been taking up a crazy amount of my time the past year, but life is going good. This month marked the 2 year mark since we moved to Oxford, and man, we're still loving this place.
Gonna make an effort to try to spend some more time on this board. I'm pretty excited about this upcoming season and seeing what Golding has been able to do with our defense. Glad we're getting a warm up game to start off the season with a new system on that side of the ball. Tulane is gonna be a big game in week 2 for us.
On a side note, there's been a crazy number of wrecks in the past couple of weeks (several just on Hwy 6 and Hwy 7). This new croup of students really need to learn how to drive. I had to slam my brakes on Hwy 7 the other day with some kid flying down the ramp with no way for me to get over, and I was just about side-swipped.

Thanks. It's a unique experience. We're trying to get back to NYC before Christmas for another visit. The boy says we're so frequent to NYC that we are no longer tourists!!! They also think it's great the way we get around the city using our phones and GPS. What he does not realize is that back in the old days, we would have a few maps and a compass for navigation. We realize that if they did not have a phone, then they would be lost!!!
