This baseball team is ass. A couple of good players, but man...
I'm ready for football to get back now. XFL championship is next weekend. Ta'amu started off the year bad, but he has come along. DC should be able to handle things.
Hoping Dart makes a big jump this season. He knows if he screws up that that's talent breathing down his neck. It'll be interesting to see how Lane keeps them happy. I'm also looking forward to see what our defense looks like under Golding. Dude is a damn good coach and now it's all his show on defense. Big opportunity for him.
Read online where Beard has been bringing in some really tall dudes - one over 7 foot and two more around 6'9". Basketball is gonna look way different next season.

Today the bats came alive as Ole Miss had 20 runs. Missouri had 14, so the game was a slug fest. Calvin Harris hit 4 homre runs in the game for Ole Miss and set a school record.
It is disappointing to see this team's perform so badly after winning it all last year. One thing with Bianco and his teams, there is always an excuse for poor performance. You have to wonder why he did not replace key personnel losses with portal transfers. He has a life time job, so he is most likely not worried.

The baseball team wasn't really that good for the most of last year. Barely slipped into the Regionals and then got hot at the right time to win it all. If you compare this team to last years pre-regional, it's a trend down.but not a big step down from my perspective.

Winning the CWS was great for Ole Miss. They got hot at the right time and won the games they needed. Throughout the year they were not a dominating team. They we just a lucky team.
Now they have gone from first to worst and their worst is really bad. Bianco has done an admirable job at Ole Miss, but it is time for the Rebels to get another head coach who will keep them at the top on a regular basis.

Unfortunately that nation title gives him job security for life.

I do wonder if something was going on internally with the team. Garrett Wood, the senior captain of the team, batted .333 and only got 18 plate appearances. Bianco wouldn't even start him the last weekend in a meaningless series. That just seems out of sorts...
