Have on his contract to hold OM BB fans hostage?

It appears Kermit can hold the Rebel fan hostage through the 2024-2025 season. Hopefully, he will be gone at the end of this season, 2022-2023.

Rock, give us the scoop on Kermit's time at TAMU and his impeccable 8-21 record.

I think Keith has no choice but to fire him at the end of the season. Attendance has been horrible and it's costing the University too much to continue down this path.

Ole Miss is paying Kermit $3,150,000 per year for his horrible results. Attendance is at 61% occupancy and there is no positive outlook for the future, except to fire Kermit and replace him with a better coach. Here are the attendance numbers for 2022-2023 basketball:
OPP ATT
Alcorn 5,990
FL Atlantic 5,974
Chattanooga 5,479
UT - Martin 5,024
Valpraiso 5,517
UCF 5,215
Temple 6,154
North AL 5,477
Tennessee 7,013
Auburn 5,973
Geogia 6,117
TOTAL 63,933

If Kermit's contract goes through the 2024-2025 season, then Ole Miss will probably owe him another $3.5M.
The WAOM way would be to give him his last year and the chance to turn things around. He will get a new contract or another year if he has a decent season.
If Ole Miss wants a better basketball program, then they would fire Kermit at the end of the season and take a chance on another coach. Ole Miss is paying top dollar to Kermit, one of the top-paid coaches in NCAA basketball. If Ole Miss can pay Kermit top dollar, they can do the same with someone else or go less and take a chance on an up-and-coming coach.

Kermit almost got A&M the death penalty. He cheated out in the open. He was forced to resign asap. Got A&M on 2 years probation and got him a 2 year show cause penalty. I mean a true knuckle head.
This was in 1990-91 and A&M was just getting over the mess Jackie Sherrill left when he was forced to resign in 1988-89. The NCAA didn’t punish Sherrill, but gave A&M a 1 year bowl ban.
I always said Jackie knew/knows where the bodies are burried at the NCAA headquarters because everything he did at Pitt and then at A&M and Miss St. , all schools were hit with probation because of him, but he was not sanctioned at any school. Then he had the audacity to sue the NCAA the year after he resigned at Miss St (2004) and they finally settled with him in 2019. Just crazy.
Anyway, sorry for the rant on Jackie. But after his crap at A&M, the powers that be at A&M didn’t hesitate to get rid of Kermit when the violations started being reported after he was only on campus 3-4 months.
I am still shocked that OM hired him. He was at a place and level and inconspicuous where he could do all his dirty stuff and stay under the radar. I can’t believe OM did any background check on him and his time at Middle Tenn, if they would have, they would have found the dirt. They either didn’t and ignored it, or had their minds made up and set on him and they didn’t do any real digging.

For Kermit to cheat, he sure does not seem to get results at TAMU or OM. As for Jokie, he must know something because he has on a Teflon suit when it comes to NCAA matters.

He didn’t have time to get results at A&M. Hebwas exposed and fired.
At OM, doesn’t look like he has done much cheating. He knows that would have voided his contract and his big payday for his retirement would have gone up in smoke. And when they gave him a extension, he just put another log on the fire. lol
