My thoughts are 6-6 and could be 7-5. With some luck, 8-4. These predictions are based on the November slump, Kiffin's management of the 4 downs, his "don't care about it" attitude, and the current recruiting class. He'll just play like it's an Xbox game and hopefully be able to reset the situation. If he does not produce results, Rebel fans will wonder why they are paying so much for a coach and feel like they got Jimboed.

Well, at least we get a Bye in the middle of the season (10/14) this time (right after the Arkansas game). That is one hell of a schedule to navigate. Lane is gonna have to earn his money after the disaster of this season (the slump, him seriously looking at leaving for Auburn, and whatever the hell he was doing during the bowl game).

I have said this before, and I will say it again for the last time. I did not want Kiffin when he was hired. He brought too much baggage and bad history with him. I do not like to respond to any topic as a rule, but I believe that 2023 will be worse than 2022 unless at least 3 things happen. 1) find a good offensive coordinator. 2) find a good defensive coordinator. and 3) get a quarterback who knows how to play the position. There are other needs as well, but these are the 3 crucial needs that I see.
I do not believe that Dark was the quarterback to lead the team. Lane let the one that I believe could have been developed transfer out. He is obsessed with the West Coast. The coordinators are mediocre at best.

I think you may have a point - or three,

Next season, the first time we start hearing coaching job rumours like we did last year, Lane better throw cold water on it quickly. If he doesn't and takes us on another ride, im done. Last year was ridiculous.

I totally agree. He got his one pass. I wonder if he even realizes how much goodwill he lost with the fanbase over that mess this year? He can rebuild that quickly, but if this ever occurs again, then he's toast in Oxford.

QB1 is my least concern about our team for 2023. We won more games this year with Dart than we would have with Altmeyer. Dart’s passing improved significantly throughout the year. We could have won the egg bowl by double digits if it wasn’t for a bunch of dropped passes. He got no pass protection most of the time. Defenders getting on him like there was no O line at all. I might be wrong but I expect Dart to make a jump next year like Corral did from year 1 to year 2 under lane.
