It would have been good if the Arkansas game lasted a few hours longer. The Ole Miss game was dismal and not watchable. Now many fans are thinking we are paying $9M for this!!?!?!??!?

We don't have ESPN news on our plan, so I missed the first part of the game. It just appears that after the Alabama game, the players just did not have much play left in them. Next year most fans will probably be wondering why they paid $9M for a coach with no signature wins, a stoppable game plan, and lackluster recruiting classes. Maybe it would have been best to let him go to Auburn and to have hired Luke Fickell.

The coaching in that game was suspect. We were terrible in nearly ever facet of the game. Our "special" teams are awful. We can't execute onside kicks and can't defend one either. Not only did we have one onside kick returned for a TD, we gave upan onside kick because our player didn't attempt to field the ball. He stood back and watched the TT player scoop it up. Not sure why he was out there - he could watch from the bench just as well.

Thinking back on the game:
1. Our OL (especially the guards) are horrible.
2. Play calling was just dumb. I have no idea what Lane was thinking, but he looked like a first year HC.
3. The 3 man front needs to go! Go back to a 4-2-5 or 4-3.
4. We lost 5 out of our last 6 games. Recruits will certainly take notice. People that stepped up for our NIL collective can't be happy.
5. $9 million for this is way overpriced.
6. Officiating sucked, badly.
7. I never want to watch another game with Andre Ware in the booth.

Offensive line was bad all year. Yes, we rushed for a lot of yards but I’m thinking that was more on scheme and our RBs than online bc we could never get one yard when we needed one yard. Pass protection was non existent.
But these kind of games just happen in bowl season. We ended the year with a whimper and ended up in a lesser bowl game. Just not much to be exited about. We lost the close games this year that we won in 2021. We need to find a way to start winning those games consistently.
