Re: Per Chris Low

Lane Kiffin’s new contract with Ole Miss is expected to be for at least 8 years & average $9 million a year, sources tell @SINow.

While the state of Mississippi does not allow public employees to have contracts of more than 4 years, the deal is run thru OM’s private foundation.

Re: Per Chris Low

I am hearing there is a “huge” breakup fee payable to Ole Miss in the contract if Kiffin walks off.

Re: Per Chris Low

Lane needs to reassess this situation and realize that he practically lost the team and many fans.  He has a lot to prove before many will buy a ticket on the Lane train.

Re: Per Chris Low

Seems his family loves Oxford and that was the deciding factor with his daughter going to school in Oxford and planning to enroll at Ole Miss next year. Also sounds like Knox may end up moving in with Lane. With the size of the contract, I think this will be the last time we'll have to worry about this scenario for a long while.
