“I’m not getting into that,” Kiffin said when asked after the game about his coaching future.
“I never talk about that stuff. I’m very happy here. I’m not very happy right now. I really wanted to get to 9-2 and to 10-2 next week. That’s all I’m thinking about. I’m very happy to be here and very appreciative of leadership here and the stuff they do to give us a chance to win."
So, instead of Lane just coming out and saying he's staying, he gave everyone coach speak. And this was after having to listen to the announcers last night talking about which players he's gonna take with him.

So what players would Kiffin try to take with him to Auburn? Clearly, something needs to be done about a coach leaving and taking the players.
There is just too much smoke around Kiffin to Auburn for there not to be a fire. Kiffin has had chances to squash the rumor. In addition, Ole Miss offered a new contract, so they must know something and are counteracting.
Last night the dufus SECN crew was talking about Kiffin leaving and what players he might take with him. One of them commented that they asked Carter about Kiffin leaving and Keith had replied that if Kiffin wants to leave for a high dollar, then he has the option to leave. Basically, Ole Miss has a ceiling on what they will offer and if Kiffin wants more, then he can explore that option.

The thing is - coaches can’t physically make players transfer - it’s ultimately their decision

Judkins grew up an Auburn fan, so I imagine he'd poach him. Not sure what other players. Marcel Reed, QB who is committed to us, would probably be persuaded to flip.

Kiffin is a little bit different kind of dude. He is more awkward than a smooth politician type of coach. So I don’t think his comments indicate that he is leaving. Either way, he darn sure better have us ready to beat State.
