And a few observations:
1. We have some damn good RBs. Evans is very good.
2. We have issues at QB. I left after the 3rd quarter to beat the traffic, so I'll need to watch the replay for when Altmyer played. But Dart needs to learn to not stare down his receivers and how to check down.
3. The upgraded sound system was great and sounded amazing.
4. Our DBs seemed to be playing really soft zone and giving too much space in their coverage.
5. Offense was vanilla and not impressive.
6. Couple sitting next to us has a daughter that's a freshman from North Carolina. They were very complimentary of Oxford and the University.
7. They announced this was the largest freshmen class in Ole Miss history - an increased enrollment of 25% over last year's class.
8. The additional CC terminals at the various concessions in the stadium made lines move very quick.
9. I'm not sold on the DJ thing, but hey - if the kids like it, that's great.

#4 an understatement! If that was the defensive game plan, OK. If not, this will be a very disappointing season, P. S. Arkansas was impressive against a good opponent.

I hate that DJ. And it didn't seem to make the students give a shit about football. When I was there, the student section was full well before the game started for almost every game. They need to have their allotment scaled back and handed to families.
The vanilla offense was by design. You'll see the same thing next week. Alt is starting next week. He is giving each a game to see how they perform.

I totally agree that the student ticket allotment needs to be scaled back. They are way too damn worried about bolting after the half in order to hit the Grove or go to a party. The NEZ stayed in direct sunlight the entire game, but these kids should be able to handle that without any problems.

When I was there we were in the northeast corner and we didn't bitch.
