TN just got hit with a NOA involved 18 Level I infractions

https://www.tennessean.com/story/sports/2022/07/22/tennessee-football-notice-of-allegations-jeremy-pruitt-wife-recruiting-scandal/5593158001/

How in the hell TN is getting away from the LOIC charge is mind boggling, when the NCAA nailed us with it for something that has happened decades ago.

Tennessee is really trying to make Pruitt look bad, even though most of it is true.  They backstabbed Pruitt to have a coaching change and not have to pay him.  The ironic thing is that if Pruitt doesn't get his money or has his reputation ruined, he will probably spill the beans on the UT program.

...Pruitt coached UT from 2018-21, posting a 16-19 record before he was fired after his third season.UT declined to pay Pruitt’s $12.6 million buyout. His lawyer, Michael Lyons, threatened to sue the university and alluded to exposing other rules infractions if UT doesn't settle with his client and pay some of the vacated buyout. But there's no indication Lyons has filed a lawsuit. ...

That would be great, Tennessee Rose Pruett on the bus, I hope Pruitt his the goods and will offer it up in a platter for the ncaa.  Still amazes me how the NCAA lived in Oxford for like five years and took another two years to get a 10 pound flash they wanted. But all these other schools yet a super expedited slap on the wrist we’re doing the same thing if not worse

Tennessee has been using the same strategy for decades.  The minute they sense the NCAA bloodhounds are on the trail, they admit to several minor infractions (or fire coaches), and self-impose  meaningless penalties.  The NCAA accepts that and goes on their merry way!  The real stuff is never uncovered!

Actually, that's the strategy of all universities when dealing with the NCAA. It's the NCAA that appears to go after the schools they dislike.
