The other day I was talking to an adamant Vol fan while wearing my Ole Miss hat. Of course, the conversation turned to baseball and he said that the Vols should have been in Omaha. I agreed, but I also said that UT had the home series and thought all they had to do was show up. He said the NCAA did not want the Vols in Omaha, so they sent a special group of hard-nose referees to Knoxville for the Super Regional. This group was sent to keep the Vols from advancing due to their cocky and out-of-control behavior!!!

TN went into the series against Notre Dame overly confident and assumed they just had to show up. They weren't "hungry" and thought their very presence was enough. Bunch of cocky little bastards, so glad they didn't make it.

Did you laugh in his face? I probably would have

Well then the Vols haven't learned a thing. All that matters is that you're hot when the tournament rolls up. All the rest is a bunch of whining and crying. Of course, this means they still have no clue why they didn't get to Omaha, which means they will almost certainly fail again. Which is just rich.
