Saw this on Twitter..

So, so true...

Turns out that defensive recruiting is more important than checking your Twitter mentions, speaking in parables, and calling escorts.

Re: Saw this on Twitter..

Sleaze left Ole Miss in as bad or worse shape than Mutt!!!  There is no doubt that Sleaze lost his focus on the effective roles to be a head coach and allow his ego to inflate with his initial success.  He forgot to coach, recruit, and focus on the effectiveness of his staff.  The above mentioned Tweet says a lot about Hugh Sleaze.

Re: Saw this on Twitter..

I think OM has plenty of defensive talent to be very competitive.  Right now at WORST OM should be 5-3.   I think if Freeze were the coach OM would be 6-2 ( losses to Bama and Auburn, but AU would have been very close, maybe even a win).  OM would have won against LSU if Freeze were the coach last week. I will argue that all day long.  But you have zero ability to even fall back on a coordinator on either side of the ball with a long tenure of coordinatorship at this level. The closest thing you have would be Peveto and his tenure as a HC at 1-AA Northwestern St was a complete failure(14-30 record) ( and I like Peveto, know him for a long time)

Re: Saw this on Twitter..

This season was a crapshoot from the getgo. Interim had coach named just before start of season, new OC and D.C., NCAA cloud hanging over us. Add to that our starting QB injured and out for season. The icing on the cake was that we couldn't go to a bowl game, so that motivation was absent. In late November this season will mercifully end, and we can move forward with rebuilding the program. Just don't expect much for the rest of the season, and you'll be less upset and disappointed.

Agreed -- as much as I hate losing to the Hogs, this year it just doesn't bother me as much --- I really expected us to go 0-8 in the SEC this year and when we beat Vandy to avoid an 0-8 mark, my expectations were exceeded. And quite frankly, since there was a bowl ban, there's really nothing to play for anyway.

I agree. We are much worse on our record than we are on talent. If Freeze was here, we would be much much better than this crap.

Re: Saw this on Twitter..

If I'm not mistaken, we had Freeze at the end of last season...             we weren't any better then than the crap I witnessed today.

Re: Saw this on Twitter..

Freeze was too busy being a big shot and not focusing on being a head coach.  If Freeze were the coach, we might have won a couple of more games, but Ole Miss would still be subpar like they are now.   Freeze built the team and Freeze ruined the team.

Re: Saw this on Twitter..

This shitshow was going to play no matter who was coaching at any position.  I don't put one moments worth of concern on it.  We have huge talent gaps to fill on the defense and several on the offense.
New staff will have their hands full getting started which is why our next hire will be so critical.  Make the right hire and we are back rolling in a year or two.  Make a WAOM hire and we may never see the success we recently saw with Freeze.
