Who would you suggest as replacements for Bianco?

He will be here as long as he wants to be here. But I would love to hire McDonnell or even Godwin

Same guy that I thought of last year for OM
I know East Carolina is home, growing up 30 min from ECU and then attending there. But at 44 you would think he might just want to jump in the fire that is the SEC, plus the $$$

McDonnell is my first choice. The teams we had when he was in Oxford were crazy talented.

People have said for years McDonnel won’t come to Ole Miss if Bianco was to be fired - I don’t know how they know that though

Dan would definitely be my first choice, but he will not come to Oxford unless Bianco takes another job or retires. Basically, if Bianco is fired, Dan will not consider being the head baseball coach at Ole Miss.

If that is true, it would make me cross him off my list in the first place. You are a grown man, this is a business and if you are so petty that another man getting fired stops your growth and development in a profession, along with what is in the best interest of your family, etc, then you do not have the mentality I want. You are 55 years old, last real shot at cashing in, probably double his current salary Talking about not taking a job because you worked for a guy for 5 years. INSANE. He has ZERO other ties to Bianco other than working for him those few years 15+ years ago.
Go blow smoke ole Danny boy..

Very well said - that would be incredibly short sighted on McDonnel’s part

Right now Ole Miss baseball needs someone desperately. Bianco has peaked and is at the point where he does not see any fault in his coaching methods. He is stuck in his old ways and does not want to change. Ole Miss needs to look in the mirror, make a change, and work with it. This is what Tennessee did and look where they are now. Bianco has mostly gotten it in the past, but he is not getting it for the future.
