Very early observations

"The fast paced offense harms our defense" has always just been an excuse for our D

Ta'amu hasn't received enough "coaching" from our staff to screw him up yet.

Re: Very early observations

Ta’mu throws a much more catchable ball than Patterson does and the whole offense is responding because of it.

Patterson skips around in the backfield for 5 min then throws either a 100mph fastball on a 10yard route or he throws a 60 yard pass to a wide open receiver who is only 40 yards out.

I’m happy with Ta’mu.

Also, birlema needs to be fired immediately after this game for allowing his OC to do anything but run straight ahead.

Re: Very early observations

The thing about Patterson is that he never ran the ball.  Obviously not many designed running plays but even when the pocket collapsed (every play) he would run around in backfield but never down the field.  Bo and Chad were both great at doing that and our offense was much better bc of it

Could we just fire the Ole Miss staff immediately instead?

Uh....I'd say no and the new staff won't be a 'wow' hire either......As a wise man once said "WAOM"

He was panther quick and Leather tough.
If he figured that He'd been pushed enough.
