Kermit had a horrible season but is being propped up for next year with the injury excuse and the hope that he is ready to sign a four-star player plus get some experienced players from the portal.  Davis has proven he is not a good SEC-type basketball coach, but he was hired by Carter, so expect him to get another season.  Then is he is halfway decent, he will probably get an extension after next year.  Now is the time to roll the dice and take a chance on a potentially up-and-coming coach.  Since the Rebels are rolling the dice with Davis, why not roll them with someone who might become a winner at Ole Miss?
