We are less than 2 weeks away from the start of baseball season. We open up against Charleston Southern next Friday (02/18). Offensively, this will be a very dangerous team - we return everyone at the plate. We were the best offense in the conference last season, and having everyone return with another year of experience should hopefully pay off. The biggest question will be our pitching. It looks like Diamond is gonna get a shot at our Friday starter. I'm not sure who will be the Saturday/Sunday starters, but I expect to see McDaniel and Dougherty in those two roles. Depending on how Cioffi is doing after having Tommy John surgery, he could very well find himself in the weekend rotation as well.

Did you see where there was a really long line to setup in right field for the open practice?

Yep. If we can get a few guys to step up on the mound, I'm pretty pumped about what this year may turn out like. We should be one of the most dangerous teams, offensively, in the country.

If that were me, I would have been talking with the girls. I guess boys are different these days. Haha

Sounds like we are a lock for the Regionals.

If so, then fans can hope the Rebels can advance past the Regionals.

I'm sure Bianco is feeling more pressure than he ever has. With so many losses in Supers, and State winning the CWS, he knows he has to make Omaha. This could be his just talented group he has ever had. The only question is the arms he has this year. But reports, so far, is that pitchers have really stepped up. Hoping that's the case, because if so, then this could be a special season.

LOL, my thoughts too
If we make it to Omaha, I’ll tune in. Otherwise, I expect one or two key injuries and a wait til next year when we are healthy result. 😂

The glory of baseball season is going to a game, enjoying the weather, and letting life's problems melt away for a bit. At least, that's what it is for me.

That pretty much sums it up. Sitting in a nice stadium, enjoying a cold beer, enjoying the outdoors.....I'm ready for this weekend!
