I’m weary at this point, we went from being a slam dunk to get those guys signed like two weeks ago to Daniel and Burton as a package deal to idk all within a week.

Burton Alabama signals something with Daniels I just don’t know what. It’s not like we’re not pumping out receivers every year so Burton wouldn’t shy away from us if that’s where Daniels wanted to go, but if he wanted to go someplace that Burton didn’t align with that might be why they decided to all of a sudden split.

Darton trig seem to be a potential good fit, I don’t know what’s taking so damn long

On one hand all this could’ve been wrapped up with someone last week.  It seems like lotta the stuff is taken care of long before the public knows what’s going on. But on the flipside history tells me we never get things done 100% and the flying by the seat of our pants. We’ll see I guess but I’m hoping we sign at least one more quarterback, and one that will be ready to compete this spring

Also, look at it from the kids side of things, they didnt even know where they stood at USC until probably Jan at the earliest.

Riley introduced as HC Nov 29th. Says Hi to current USC players for 15 min that day.They still have a game Dec4th. Doesn't see them at min for 2 weeks as he goes recruiting until the Dec 15th signing day.   Players go home for the holidays since they have no bowl game.  Riley probably meets with certain individual players after Jan  1st.   dart and Trigg probably 2 of those guys, don't really like whatever Riley is selling and then decided to hit the portal.

So these guys probably on Jan1st really didnt think they would be leaving USC.  So they are expected in less than 3 weeks to re define their future.

I'm thinking that Dart is waiting to see what happens with Caleb Williams at this point. 

The Dart / Trigg recruitment has been dragging out for a while.  Evidently, they are shopping and expecting something that they want (i.e. - bigger $NIL).  Supposedly one of the fathers has become involved and now we get back to Pattersonism.  It may be best to look at other potentials or wait until after Spring Practice to see who enters the portal.  A big thing in many people's minds is why would someone from California who could play at many big schools come to Oxford?  Well, plain and simply, these people have probably never visited Oxford and any place in Mississippi.
