After the early signing. I was completely discouraged. I guess if you look at it this way, every year you get 90% of your roster having to be recruited to not transfer out. If you can get a transfer that’s worth a crap and still has two or three years left he’s pretty much locked up that space for the remaining time here. It is crazy how much quality is out there on the transfer portal and it’s just a better option if they are indeed SEC talent.

If we can get the California duo I think we’re pretty well set this year especially if we can snag one or two more highly ranked high school kids who are left to sign. The problem is we’re paying Lane an enormous amount of money and so far he is playing chess while the rest of us are playing checkers and don’t understand why he does what he does but the pieces do seem to be aligning somewhat.

Being an Ole Miss fan, I continue to be skeptical because nothing stays good for very long but I do feel better today than I did last month

I said this in a thread shortly after early signing day. Kiffin is ahead of the curve here. He's playing the new recruiting game and has said as much. He can go get proven transfers instead of risking so much on HS athletes.
