this week, looks like he will pick OM

He was a freshman All American in 2020
Big 12 Freshman of the year 2020
All Big 12 in 2021

I posted about him in the long thread a few weeks ago about transfers.

kid is a baller and is very familiar with the 3-2-6 defense that OM ran this year and Kiffin wants to continue running. If you remember Kiffin sent Durkin and Partridge up to Iowa st during the off season to learn the defense from Campbell

Re: DB transfer to watch

Having the transfer portal is almost like selecting pro players, except the selection process is wide open and not sequenced.

Re: DB transfer to watch

Iowa State defensive back Isheem Young to transfer to Ole Miss

The former Cyclone announced his commitment to the Ole Miss Rebels on Monday. The Philadelphia, Pa., prospect had over 100 tackles in two seasons while playing in the Big 12. He also defended five passes, forced five fumbles and snagged three interceptions. A year ago he was named the Big 12 Co-Defensive Freshman of the Year.Coming out of high school, the Imhotep (Pa.) Charter School safety chose Iowa State over notable offers from Baylor, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, Iowa, LSU, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio State, Penn State, Tennessee and Wisconsin, among others. He played alongside 2021 Ole Miss signee Taleeq Robbins in high school.

The 5-foot-10, 210 pound Young is a hybrid safety who has shown the ability to be extremely active at all three levels. He also brings a physical style of play. The Ole Miss secondary will need his playmaking ability in 2022 after losing starters Deane Leonard and Jake Springer.I expect Young and fellow transfer newcomer Ladarius Tennison to both compete for a spot in the two-deep in spring practices.Ole Miss and defensive coordinator Chris Partridge have been recruiting the northeast incredibly hard since his arrival in Oxford two years ago.

After signing the likes of Demon ClowneyTysheem JohnsonTywone MaloneTaleeq Robbins and Davison Igbinosun, the Rebels have added another four-star prospect from the Eastern Time Zone.Young joins Tennison, as well as TCU running back Zach Evans, Louisville wide receiver Jordan Watkins and USC linebacker Danny Lockhart, in Lane Kiffin’s 2022 transfer class.Once he arrives in Oxford, Young will have three years of eligibility remaining.
