Yes. He is one if 3 names I have heard. A&M has recruited to the same type defense Durkin likes to run. He rank the 3-2-6 this year at OM with a lot of encouragement from Lane. 

Elko ran the 4-2-5 at A&M and that is what A&M has recruited for.  That is what Durkin prefers if he has the talent.

Add that he is just co-DC with Partridge , OM will keep doing the same if Durkin were to leave

But it is more than just a rumored interest .

Hoping Durkin stays put. Frustrating seeing other teams coming after our coaches - but it's clearly a sign that Lane knows what he's doing with his assistants.

Yep. Start worrying when teams don’t start coming after your coaches.

A&M lost DC to Duke as HC.  I thought he would not leave until he had a chance at a power 5 job. But 15+ million guaranteed can change a lot of minds.

Losing A&M’s OL coach to USC I didn’t see coming. But they made him co-oc and paid him a bunch. A&M was already paying him a ton. To me he was a above average OL coach and I know A&M will hire as good or better to take that job.

Jimbo has lost 7 asst coaches in 4 years.  Part of the game if you are doing things right.

Now we will see if Jimbo can put it together on the field. Had a great 2020. 10-1 and finished 4th.

I gave him a pass this season.  Everyone had A&M ranked so high. I knew with 4 new starters on the OL, new qb that had never played. Then qb gets hurt in second game.  That this season would be tough.

If A&M has competent qb play they beat Ark by 20 and they beat Lsu by 30. It took a miracle as it was to lose to lsu.

Before the season it you gave me A&M at 9-3 and a bowl win I would have been happy.


But good programs lose coaches

I remember a ton of the mouths at rivals and 247 screaming about Love being hired as the S&C coach. Now they are screaming that OM can’t keep coaches. lol
