I have posted in the past my disdain for him for how he basically got A&M the death penalty in his 1 year as HC.
but I thought I read where OM barely lost to Stanford.
Then went back and looked and it was StaMford.
Unfortunately for OM BB fans it will end badly. When it is finally proven he cant coach in the big boys league, he will cheat and get OM on probation on his way out the door.
People have said over and over, but his record at MTSU
Still getting beat by Ole slick Rick as WKU, Boise St--come on man..
1st 9 years at MTSU in the Sunbelt he was 153-126-84-60 in conference only 1 postseason trip and it was the CIT( CIT gets the 12--140th ranked teams)
Something happened after they were going to fire him after year 9
I can tell you what happened, Kermit did what Kermit does. Never got busted because nobody really cares about those conferences and then never had success like a Butler or Gonzaga. You see a school like Creighton started having a ton of success and instate schools sicked the NCAA and FBI on them and now they are on 2 years probation.
If Kermit had had any real success at MTSU from year 10 (won 2 games in the tourney) trust me UT and some of the local teams would have squealed him out. But he knew things were getting to risky, so he tried like heck to get out of there after getting bounced out of the NIT in round 2 in 2018. He knew after everything he had done he still couldnt get MTSU any further. So time to bolt and see if anyone would buy his slight of hand. Wll Bjork did. ( so glad Bjork is just a yes man at A&M, no real decision making of coaching hires in the big 3 sports. He does what he is told and does a good job of that and smoozing boosters-which is really not that hard at A&M as big money guys have always spent whatever is asked of them)
I hope for the good OM fans that I am wrong, but he is what he is.
rant over for now

Kermit was a downgrade from AK. Unfortunately, the admin rolled over his contract, so that's gonna increase his buyout. But Keith, being a further basketball player, has to know that Kermit isn't getting it done.

Kermit is not a quality coach and does not seem to be able to hold a team together for a full season. Ole Miss needs to find someone who is young, upcoming and wants a chance in the big leagues. Look at Alabama. They were nothing in basketball, hired an upcoming coach, and are now competitive. It is time for Ole Miss to make a coaching change in basketball.
